Links to Discernment Web Sites and Materials
Spiritual Deception is rife in the Body over here. Here's a small list of places to go to find out what's what. Some of the sites listed below are by Reformed Calvinist types. We don't share their perspectives on a number of issues (such as cessationism); nevertheless they are right on the money in exposing and critiquing such things as the NAR; because ultimately it's not about cessationism vs non-cessationism, but about about the rank heresy and apostasy of the NAR and other groups.
This is an old site archive, but it's still an excellent go to resource.
Deception in the Church (DITC)
Sandy Simpson's discernment mega-site.
Sandy has been documenting the penetration of false doctrine into the Church for decades. The site isn't pretty but it's pretty comprehensive.
Fighting for the Faith
Chris Rosebrough's YouTube Channel. Chris is a Lutheran, and though we don't share some of his distinctives, he does an excellent job of pointing out the absurdity of the ministries, teachings and predictions of today's so-called prophets and apostles. You will also see some friends and ministry partners with whom our local false apostles (and other high-profile leaders over here) commend, endorse, approvingly associate and co-operate with, featured as well.
Spirit of Error
Holly Pivec's NAR Blog. Also check out Holly's two excellent and well-researched books, which give a great overview of the whole NAR subject.
Church Watch Central
This is Ken Silva's site. Ken passed away some years ago, but the the site is maintained as an archive.
The Zedekiah List
The Zedekiah List is a compilation of quotes by well-known Christian speakers who have spoken words in the same spirit as Zedekiah in the book of 1Kings chapter 22.These words fall into one of three categories:
- Words which are contrary to Scripture.
- Words which add to Scripture.
- False prophecies.
By believing contrary to scripture we are in disobedience and to teach contrary to scripture is to draw others into the same error.
By adding or subtracting from scripture we change the Word of God and thereby create another Jesus, another gospel and another Spirit.
Prophecy must always be in accordance with scripture and if a prophecy has a fulfilment then, as in the case of the Old Testament prophets, it must be completely fulfilled. Otherwise it is a false prophecy and the Lord has not spoken through that prophet.
